Freshness
Our first step always starts with choosing the freshest ingredients. Without the freshest ingredients, the textures in our foods begin to deform and the taste goes awry.
To ensure quality, we source ingredients from over 21 different vendors to find what we’re looking for.
Preparation
Many of our ingredients go through careful quality control and preparation methods in anticipation of the cooking process. Spices need to be pre-cooked to the right level, shredded mangoes need to be baked in the Sun, etc.
Often times, the preparation process takes longer than the cooking process itself, and it’s the care that’s put into this preparation process that set’s Poppy’s apart from the rest.
Deliberate Cooking
Most of our products go through a process we call “Deliberate Cooking”, where foods undergo cooking processes unlike those in factories or commercial kitchens.
What sets this process apart from commercial cooking processes is that often times, deliberate cooking will take more than twice as long as conventional recipes and almost 4-8 times as long as industrial recipes.
By cooking our dishes at such an intentional pace, it allows us to direct the final product precisely in the direction, texture and taste we want.
Packaging
Industrial-grade, bacteria-resistant, stainless steel dispensing machine. That’s how we make sure our products are packed tightly and while minimizing air and moisture to preserve the product’s longevity.
But is that enough for our products retain their original taste? No, and that’s why we choose recyclable food-grade containers with a freshness seal on top to keep our products tasting as good as when they’re first made.
And the best part? No preservatives. Guaranteed.
Refinement
One of our core beliefs is to continually improve our craftsmanship. There’s always lots to improve in our processes, from our recipes all the way to our delivery processes and everything else in between.
